Active Covid-19 patients are treated with blood plasma from those that have cured from Covid-19. The fatal second wave of the virus struck India in early April, and as of the month end, the number of cases had risen to over 300,000 per day. The unprecedented infection has suppressed India’s healthcare system, with patients and their families struggling for hospital beds, oxygen tanks, and blood plasma, and other necessities across the country.

He said, “If plasma can be given at the right time, patients can recover faster. I will donate (blood plasma) when permissible. I have spoken with the doctors. Those of you who have recovered from Covid-19 can speak with the doctors, and when permissible please donate your blood”.
