Mumbai, India (CU)_ Bollywood actor Salman Khan took part in the Green India Challenge by planting a seedling and encouraged his fans to contribute their part to safeguard the environment. At Ramoji Film City, where he was filming his next film ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’, the actor planted a sapling. In addition to his film team, J Santosh Kumar, Rajya Sabha member and Green India founder, also made his presence.
Salman Khan lauded the MP for undertaking the mission. He said, “Planting trees is a very good thing. I don’t know why people take interest in cutting trees. It is said that when a man stops growing, you should plant a tree. Tree is a still man and a man is a walking tree. This bond is very important”. Highlighting the significance of plantation, Salman said, “wherever you have trees, you will have water”.
Salman stated that everyone should assume responsibility for the tree-planting initiative and provide proper care for the seedlings until they mature into big trees. He said that the number of people killed by natural disasters, severe rains, and floods is so high, and that promoting vast plantations is the only way to reduce this human loss. MP Santosh Kumar appreciated Salman for agreeing to join the Green India Challenge at his request. He stated that Salman’s attempt to plant trees will undoubtedly motivate millions of his admirers across the nation.
In terms of work, the actor has been busy filming his next project Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali alongside Pooja Hegde. It is scheduled to hit the screens in December of this year. Shehnaaz Gill, popular Bigg Boss 13 contestant, will make her Bollywood debut in a film starring Salman. The film also features Jassie Gill, Palak Tiwari, Raghav Juyal, and Siddharth Nigam in significant roles. Farhad Samji directs KEKD, which is produced by Salman Khan Films.
