Mumbai, India (CU)_ Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty became a trending topic on the internet after joining the reality show India’s Got Talent as a judge. It is Shilpa Shetty’s first reality project that is not focused solely on dancing competitions, but a variety of talents. In a recent social media advertisement for the program, the actress revealed that the auditions for the program are currently open to the interested participants.
The former judges of the popular show India’s Got Talent, from season one to season eight, are Kirron Kher, Malaika Arora, Sonali Bendre, Farah Khan, Karan Johar, Shekhar Kapur, and Dharmendra. For this season, Shilpa Shetty has officially entered the league, with her debut program airing on Sony TV.
Shilpa Shetty took to Instagram to share the promo. She wrote, “Desh ek, talent anek! India’s got tons of talent and it’s time to meet them, BREAKING NEWS only on #IndiasGotTalent. Auditions jald hi shuru honge! Main bahut excited hoon aap sab se milne ke liye, ek naye show ke saath #IGT ke manch par.”
Previously, Shilpa Shetty has been a judge in dance reality programs such as Zara Nachke Dikha and Nach Baliye. Since 2016, she has been a judge on the dance show Super Dancer. In July-August, she was absent from the program for a few days following her husband businessman Raj Kundra’s arrest in connection with the creation and distribution of pornographic videos on mobile applications. He was recently released from prison. Shilpa Shetty’s most recent film was Hungama 2. She is known for her performances in Baazigar, Dhadkan, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Aakrosh, Shool, Jung, and Rishtey.
Commenting on the top show India’s Got Talent, Shilpa Shetty expressed delight over joining the judges panel. She said, “India’s Got Talent is a show that I have closely followed over the years. So naturally, I am thrilled to join the judge’s panel of the show. India is a country brimming with talent and I am happy to be one of the drivers of shining the limelight on deserving performing artists. This is the first time that I will be judging a reality show that is based on not just dance, but a diverse range of skills.”
