Currently, around 130,000 Bangladeshis are employed in Singapore. During a meeting at the foreign ministry on Monday, the FM announced the news. He said, “I have received news from Singapore that they will provide employment to an additional 10,000 people. Our mission representative in Singapore is issuing more than 500 work permits. This is good news; I want to share it with everyone.”

The foreign minister also informed that the government had taken necessary measures to establish new jobs for the Bangladeshi workers who had returned home from abroad due to pandemic crisis. The minister said that the workers will be hired for the ‘Halal’ meat processing factories. He said, “We told our missions to try and ensure gainful employment for our people.
