Malaysia (Commonwealth Union)_ As the highly anticipated official launch of the smart #1 electric vehicle (EV) draws closer, smart Malaysia is causing a stir in the EV market with the unveiling of its pioneering “Hello smart App.” This digital innovation is poised to redefine the ownership experience of smart EVs, enhance the connectivity between vehicle owners and their cars, and set the stage for a seamless and innovative journey.

Smart Malaysia’s CEO, Zhang Qiang, expressed enthusiasm for the app, anticipating that it will deepen the bond between owners and the brand by delivering an all-encompassing and forward-looking experience, aligning with the brand’s commitment to integrating technology seamlessly into users’ daily lives. Smart Malaysia CEO Zhang Qiang stated, “In our quest for a user-friendly digital journey, smart Malaysia is committed to boosting the connection between smart vehicle owners and their cars. We are thrilled to introduce the Hello smart App, which takes integration to the next level, keeping users in the loop and connected. We believe this app will deepen our owners’ affection for the brand by offering an innovative and all-encompassing experience”.

The Hello smart App features a user-friendly four-tab layout designed to simplify and enrich the digital journey for EV enthusiasts in Malaysia. The “Discover” tab acts as a portal to the latest news, events, and a vibrant community hub, offering access to digital product e-brochures and real-time notifications to ensure users remain informed and connected. Further, the “Vehicle” tab enables users to personalize their vehicles, calculate monthly payments, apply for loans, schedule services, and access real-time vehicle data, including battery status, charging status, driving range, and location.

Additionally, users can remotely control functions such as air conditioning, doors, windows, and even plan charging times for maximum convenience. Moreover, the “e-Mall” tab allows the users to access virtual stores where they can explore official smart merchandise and accessories, earning loyalty points which can be redeemed for exciting rewards. Finally, the “Profile” tab sums up all app functions and offers personalization options for tailoring the digital experience to individual preferences.

In an effort to address range anxiety, smart Malaysia has incorporated pioneering features into the Hello smart App, marking a first in the Malaysian EV market. These features include a live charging map and navigation system, collaborating with stakeholders in the EV charging ecosystem to give a comprehensive real-time map of charging points, with 70% of public charging points already integrated. Users can effortlessly locate available charging points, initiate charging, and make payments, without the need for multiple apps, easing concerns about range limitations. Additionally, the app streamlines the vehicle booking and financing loan application processes, setting new standards for convenience and accessibility in EV ownership. Users can also purchase, install, and schedule appointments for smartCharge home chargers through the app’s one-stop service home charging solution, saving time and streamlining the process.

Furthermore, the Hello smart App fosters community engagement by offering a dedicated community page where smart enthusiasts can connect, share experiences, and exchange views. Users have the opportunity to earn loyalty points by inviting friends to join the smart community, which can be redeemed for official merchandise, accessories, and charging solutions available in the e-Mall. Smart Malaysia is committed to enhancing the app further and has plans to introduce additional functions and features in forthcoming updates, with the first scheduled for release in Q4 of 2023. This ongoing commitment promises an additional user-friendly, convenient, and connected experience for smart #1 owners, setting a new standard in the world of EV ownership.
