  1. Orchha

Located on the banks of the Betwa River, Orchha is known as the city of palaces. With frescoes and classic murals that commemorate rulers, this magnificently charming city was once the capital of one of the most powerful dynasties that existed in the country, giving it a rich history. There is a wide array of places you can visit here, including the beautiful architecture of Jehangir Mahal, Chaturbhuj Temple, and the Chattris. Boating and rafting on the Betwa River would also make a delightful experience.

  1. Sanchi

This location holds Buddhist monuments that are some of the oldest stone structures in India. The location holds the Great Stupa, a large dome with a diameter of more than 30 meters and over 50 feet high. The stupa, built by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC, is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts many Buddhist pilgrims every year.

Developed by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, Hanumantiya lies among the archipelagos on the Indira River. This resort, surrounded by water, makes way for an ideal holiday filled with a surprisingly large array of watersports such as snorkeling, scuba diving, water parasailing, cruising, water zorbing, and water surfing. A hot air balloon is also available to give you an amazing view of the gorgeous stretch of landscape.

The 98-foot-high Dhuandhar waterfall and the Bhedaghat Marble Rocks serve as the area’s primary attractions. You could also visit SeaWorld Water Park and Madan Mahal Fort and enjoy the boat ride to Bhedaghat.

Rich with historical monuments, this region, which also lies on the banks of the Narmada, holds a plethora of stunning locations, including the Bhimbetka Rock Shelters and the hill station of Pachmarhi. Nestled under the Vindhyan Hills, its massive land span is rich with biodiversity. While the park is known for its large number of birds, it also holds many other creatures within its protected areas, such as golden jackals, Indian wolves, jungle cats, sloth bears, and striped hyenas, among others. Several Asiatic cheetahs were also brought into the park in 2022, making the park a hub for rehabilitation and conservation. While the park closes during the monsoon season between July and October, this location is a beautiful experience that displays the exotic wildlife of India.
