Sushmita Sen reveals shocking news about her health!

Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ It was shocking news to the fans when Bollywood diva Sushmita Sen disclosed in her latest Instagram post that she had a heart attack a few days ago. The 47-year-old actress shared an update about her health, accompanied by a picture with her father, Subir Sen. A few days later, she came live on Instagram and revealed that she had 95 percent blockage in her main artery. She also thanked all the doctors and the medical staff for making this a painless process.

Her post read the following: “Keep your heart happy and courageous, and it will stand by you when you need it the most, Shona” (Wise words by my father Subir Sen). I suffered a heart attack a couple of days ago…  Angioplasty done…stent in place…and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed, ‘I do have a big heart’.”

Sushmita Sen also conveyed her thanks to the ones who helped her deal with the situation. The actress added, “Lots of people to thank for their timely aid and constructive action…will do so in another post.” She also thanked her close ones and the well-wishers. She penned, “This post is just to keep you (my well wishers and loved ones) informed of the good news …that all is well and I am ready for some life again. I love you guys beyond!!!! #godisgreat #duggadugga.”

Sushmita Sen is popular for her roles in movies such as Biwi No 1, Do Knot Disturb, Main Hoon Na, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, and No Problem. She made her second innings acting with the International Emmy-nominated series Aarya and also appeared in the second series. The actress is also set to feature in the third season of the series. The actress and former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen is a single mother to her two daughters Alisah and Renee. She adopted her elder daughter Renee in 2000 and her younger daughter Alisah in 2010. Renee recently made her acting debut with a short film.
