(Commonwealth Union)_BTS songs have always been much awaited and anticipated by fans. Recently the group announced that they would be taking a break as a band in order to venture into military training which is compulsory in South Korea. During their time together as a band, they gained immense popularity, bringing whopping figures as revenue for their country.

Even though they have paused as a band, the members still release their solos, and this time “The Astronaut” by Jin is topping all charts as fans fall in love with the beautiful song, written in collaboration with Coldplay. Jin is known for bringing raw emotion into his ballads through his previous songs Epiphany and Awake. His older songs speak volumes of emotions which are strengthened with his steady vocals, and this time, the essence of his feelings have been encapsulated in a slightly upbeat musical masterpiece, complemented with Coldplay’s rock expertise.

The track itself is about love that transcends the boundaries of this Earth, revolving around the story of an alien who finds himself lost on Planet Earth, navigating his way through the joys of the little things until he finds home on the planet. The music video of this brilliant song showcases glimpses of this heart-warming story, with the occasional cameos of his Coldplay collaborators.

The debut live performance of this beautiful song was on the 28th of October 2022 at the Coldplay concert in Buenos Aires in Argentina. The stadium was jam-packed as the eager fans anticipated Jin’s performance.

BTS previously collaborated with Coldplay on the single “My Universe” for the latter’s 2021 album, Music of the Spheres. The track debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first Hot 100 No. 1 by two groups each sporting lead billing on a song.
