The devices, which are internet-connected, enable the little ones to stay connected with their friends and family, while also watching their favorite movies, using social media, and much more. Fun units and gaming stations, which are designed to fulfill rigorous infection safety measures, may be moved around the hospital to keep children occupied and diverted during extended hospital stays, which has now become increasingly crucial due to the closure of many children’s playrooms owing to COVID-19.

According to Brian Bringolf, CEO of Starlight Canada, it is always gratifying to see the positive influence that programs like Starlight Fun Centers have on the mental well-being of families undergoing the most trying periods of life. Bringolf appreciated the sponsors who supported the initiative. He said, “We constantly look for new ways to make life just a little bit easier for both sick children and their families and are so grateful to have the support of such generous sponsors to make these programs a reality”.

By the year’s end, 48 entertainment units will be supplied to children’s hospitals throughout Canada. The entertainment units are designed to adhere to rigorous infection control regulations and may be moved throughout the facility.
