With Spectre’s futuristic design, it truly epitomizes intricate interiors, and groundbreaking engineering, she said.
The journey of the Spectre commenced in 2021 when the historic announcement of its venture into electric mobility was made by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. By 2030, the brand which committed to an all-electric portfolio first unveiled the Spectre last October to the world in West Sussex, England.
The ultra-luxury electric super coupé speaks not only of the brand’s innovative drive, but also resonates with a historical connection. After experiencing an electric vehicle named The Columbia Electric Carriage, Rolls-Royce co-founder Charles Rolls envisioned an electric future for automobiles in 1900, with his prophecy materializing with the introduction of Spectre, drawing a bridge between the automaker’s rich past and its electrifying future.
The Spectre, powered by a 190kW front motor and a 360kW rear motor, boasts 584 hp with 900Nm of torque that enables it to achieve a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds.
Allocations start at S$2,138,888 SGD for those looking to shop in Singapore, and vary based on specifications, as each Spectre is a bespoke build.
Rolls-Royce is taking its ultimate-luxury ethos to a new realm with the all-electric 2024 Spectre coupe. James Bond, given his history of battling the international crime organization known as Spectre, probably would not toast the new model with one of his shaken-not-stirred signature martinis, but he might want to test drive it nonetheless.
The Spectre is propelled by a fully electric powertrain consisting of two electric motors that pump out a combined 577 horsepower, and rides on the same platform as the Phantom sedan and Cullinan SUV. The driving range of the Spectre is estimated to be around 260 miles per charge. The Spectre is Rolls-Royce’s first in a series of EVs, and the company says that its gasoline-powered models will be phased out of the lineup and entirely replaced with EVs by 2030.
Rolls-Royce will let you customize a Spectre pretty much any way you want which is a good thing, because, with a price tag this high, buyers will expect something truly personalized.
All Spectres will consist of a dual-motor electric powertrain with 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. Rolls-Royce’s brand ethos is more about quiet cruising than mind-bending performance. Even though sharp impacts will still make themselves felt, Rolls-Royce has installed adaptive suspension to ensure an appropriately isolated ride over all but the biggest bumps, and their engineers have also made room for a massive amount of sound-deadening material to maintain a whisper quiet cabin. The Spectre is so silent on the road, that your ears almost pick up no sounds until you get up to 80 mph and the wind starts to only slightly penetrate into the tomb-like cabin.
All Spectres come with a touchscreen infotainment system nestled into its finely-trimmed dashboard. A digital gauge display is standard too. The technology is well-integrated into the Spectre’s interior design and doesn’t distract from the ambiance. A Bespoke Audio stereo system is available and sports attractive aluminum speaker grilles.
