
Dr. Nitya Abraham works as an Associate Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Program Director for the Montefiore Urology residency program. She has guided a number of students, residents, fellows, and junior staff in the New York region. She is also the head of the Executive Curriculum Committee for Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Previously, she worked with the AUA as a member of the Oral Board Review Course faculty and QIPS/MEP.
Further, Dr. Abraham is also a member of the Society for Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine, and Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU) Young Urologists Committee and the social media committee. Moreover, her prolific research focuses on the effect of social determinants of health on pelvic floor health, and she has also gained funding support from the US Department of Defense for urinary diagnostic markers of interstitial cystitis. Further, Dr. Abraham is also a co-author of the AUA White Paper on Rationale and Strategies for Reducing Urologic Postoperative Opioid Prescribing.
Dr. Sarah Vij
Dr. Sarah Vij, an Assistant Professor of Urology in the Department of Urology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, is a specialist in male infertility and andrology. Dr. Vij has made major contributions in the fields of male infertility and andrology. Further, she also became the first female program director of a Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) approved fellowship. Moreover, she is also the head of the reputed male infertility/andrology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic’s Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute. She has mentored many residents and fellows in microsurgery with her excellent skills and mentorship.

Further, Dr. Vij is also an associate program director for the Urology Residency and the Center Director for the Center of Male Fertility in the Department of Urology at Cleveland Clinic. She actively trains the medical students at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine by conducting didactic sessions and journal clubs. Additionally, Dr. Vij has authored nearly 50 peer-reviewed publications, most of which are in the fields of male infertility and andrology. The Young Urologist of the Year Award was founded by Dr. Michael C. Ost, who is the head of the 2012-2013 AUA Young Urologists Committee (YUC).
