Top American automaker to focus on Australia

BRISBANE (CU)_US President Joe Biden’s administration has now decided to rely on allies and partners to supply large quantities of metals which would be processed into EV battery parts domestically. Australia will be among the few countries that are expected to benefit from the decision, as the Pacific nation’s exports of hard rock lithium are projected to hit A$1 billion ($773 million), while nickel exports are expected to reach A$4 billion this year.
