England (Commonwealth Union) – There has been some big promises made by the United Kingdom train companies in the recent days. However, let’s see why these promises had to be made to the public. There has been a train driver shortage in the last few weeks and this has been causing a lot of havoc in the transport section.

The train companies never thought that a shortage of drivers was the one thing they may have to face going into the future. It was always considered trains would be a primary mode of transport for the population as they looking towards greener country. But of course, this also means there is a growing need for qualified train drivers to make sure that the trains are operating. This little hitch is causing massive disruption all over the UK and people are panicking.

The train companies are looking to hire more drivers to make sure this will never occur again but as of right now there is a shortage. The question is how did this happen? At which point did the companies notice that there was a shortage since this kind of thing does not happen overnight. There are allegations that it is because the pension plans have changed, thereby discouraging people from joining the train companies.

It is not like hiring someone to drive a car or a bus, a train driver needs to have the needed qualification and know what they are doing. That is another training that needs to be provided.

The train companies need think fast and make some very quick decision if they want to keep the train systems running smoothly. They have segment of the public who are depending on this transport method to get them from point A to point B.
