TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – The fact that till a little while ago an extra chromosome in your system meant that you were a burden on not just your family but also to society. This was far from wrong as the wife of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, Sharon Rowley, says Trinidad and Tobago is closer to introducing substantive legislation which will protect people with disabilities, as well as differently-abled people.

She was speaking during the Down Syndrome Network of Trinidad and Tobago’s tenth-anniversary observances earlier this week on World Down Syndrome Day.
