UAE Mars Mission: Pakistani Minister wishes Hope probe, says “I wish that you conquer the space”

-

Islamabad, Pakistan (CU)_ Pakistani Cabinet Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, conveyed his wishes to the UAE Hope probe for its success in Mars mission. He took to Twitter and released a video saying “I wish that you conquer the space” as the Mars orbit insertion attempt of the Hope Probe succeeded in its first attempt on Tuesday.

Following the Emirates Mars Mission Hope probe sending back signals confirming that it has entered the Martian orbit, it marked UAE as the fifth country to hit the Red Planet. Hope Probe is the first Arab Mars mission and it succeeded in its very first attempt. Following the historical success, the mission wrote on Twitter, “Success! Contact with #HopeProbe has been established again. The Mars Orbit Insertion is now complete”.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said in his video, “Today is a great day for every human; but particularly for every Muslim, the UAE has made the whole Muslim world proud. The Emirates Mars Mission will be the first of three to arrive at Mars”. He added, “The mission is a contribution towards a knowledge-based economy in the UAE and Muslim Ummah. I wish you all the best. I wish that you conquer space!”.

Russia was the first country ever to launch a Mars mission. In 1971 and 1973, Russia landed spacecrafts on Mars. USA was the second country to launch Mars mission with its eight successful Mars landings between 1976 and 2018. The European Union joined this exclusive group of spacefarers in 1993 followed by India in 2014, and they have successfully reached Mars.
