Uber and Lyft share lists of banned drivers in safety boost

-

saftey of the customers and products that are being delivered by two mega apps Uber and Lyft have taken it upon themselves to make the app a safer place for its users.  Actually this will be a really great thing considering the horror stories we hear about the customers that were treated when using the old app.

Uber and Lyft will create a platform for each other where they will share information about the drivers they have and the ones who are no longer working for them and are banned for misbehaving with clients and third parties using the app. These offences can range from Sexual assault to physical assault to fatalities. There has been a public outcry for more safety from these apps and this initiative is a step in the right direction.

The workforce solutions provider by HireRight will now be handling the back end of this they will have what they call a NO data base which will have a list of drivers and delivery workers that are banned on either app. How this would work is if either app were to hire or register a driver or a delivery worker then HireRight would see if they are in the NO database and give the companies a green light to hire the individual.

Both apps are in use in many countries around the world but unfortunately this whole scheme of HireRight will only apply in the United States. Customers and users of this app outside of the USA will not have this saftey feature. The company has not said when that they would expand to other countries but we hope it will be in the near future .
