Europe UK (Commonwealth Union) – The upcoming year will witness a revitalized series of contemporary and focused trade missions from the UK to India, showcasing higher education, agri-tech, and e-sports as prominent sectors of engagement.

Unveiling a robust initiative titled “Alive with Opportunity,” the Department for Business and Trade is set to deploy a £1.5 million marketing campaign. This strategic endeavor aims to amplify the enduring and robust relationship between the UK and India, while concurrently stimulating trade, investment, and the celebration of the profound cultural ties binding the two nations.

Leading the charge, Business and Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch is embarking on a three-day sojourn to India, commencing on Thursday, August 24th. The voyage commences with her participation in the G20 Trade Ministers Meeting in Jaipur, followed by her journey to New Delhi. There, she will be a key participant in the business-centric Business 20 summit, along with scheduled meetings alongside Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Tata Chair Natarajan Chandrasekaran.

UK Business and Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch says “India is the UK’s second biggest source of investment projects and I’m confident this new campaign will help boost interest in and demand for UK goods and services even further.”

Presently, the UK hosts a thriving community of over 900 Indian enterprises, while in India, over 600 UK businesses are forging prosperous paths, contributing to the sustenance of more than half a million jobs spanning both nations.

The Alive with Opportunity initiative is set to exuberantly commemorate the robust ties in business, trade, culture, and sports that bind the UK and India. This endeavor will strategically capitalize on significant junctures, including India’s forthcoming role as the host of the Cricket World Cup and the inauguration of the England-India test series in January.

In a widespread display, promotional campaigns showcasing the UK’s appeal will grace billboards, airport spaces, and various social media platforms. This dynamic effort will be reinforced by a sequence of meticulously targeted trade missions, promotional affairs, and marketing engagements in both nations, according to a government statement.
