Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Donald Trump Jr., the son of US President Donald Trump, began his India trip with a visit to the Taj Mahal, the country’s most famous monument. The historic site in Agra, admired worldwide for its architectural beauty and the symbol of love, served as his first stop. This marks his first visit to the landmark, although his father and First Lady Melania Trump toured it during their India trip in 2020. Trump Jr. arrived in Agra in the afternoon, reaching the monument at around 3:30 pm. According to officials, he spent close to an hour walking through the complex, pausing frequently for photographs. One of these photo stops included the well-known Diana bench, a favored spot for visitors.

Throughout the tour, he showed a keen interest in the history behind the Taj Mahal. Officials said he asked several questions about its construction, design, and the craftsmanship that went into building the marble mausoleum nearly four centuries ago. He was accompanied by Nitin Singh, the same guide who led President Trump’s tour in 2020. Singh explained various architectural elements as the group moved through the site. Trump Jr. was joined by a delegation of 126 guests representing 40 countries, making the visit a high-profile event that required tight security.

Security around the monument was significantly increased. Local police worked alongside US security personnel, while CISF teams took charge of the inner areas as soon as Trump Jr. entered. Ahead of the visit, authorities carried out special cleaning operations, cleared the surrounding routes, and made sure the path from his arrival point to the Taj Mahal was fully secured. Trump Jr. is expected to remain in India through the weekend to attend a major destination wedding in Udaipur, Rajasthan. A US security team has already reached the city to inspect arrangements and coordinate with local officials. Sources say Trump Jr. will be staying at The Leela Palace during the celebrations.
