Africa (Commonwealth Union) _ The South African Future Trust (SAFT) Summit is set to return to the Sandton Convention Centre on October 24 and 25, promising a dynamic experience for entrepreneurs. Now in its second year, the summit will feature more stages, speakers, and opportunities, with the headline prize being a R500,000 investment for one standout delegate. This unique event has evolved into an ‘unconference,’ allowing attendees to tailor their schedules for maximum impact.

Headlining the event are several notable speakers, including African Leadership Academy founder Fred Swaniker, Rehumanize Institute CEO Laila Pawlak, Natasha Sideris, CEO of Tasha’s Group, South African songstress and motivational speaker Lira, financial journalist Bruce Whitfield, and Veldskoen CEO Nick Dreyer. Together, these leaders will share their insights on navigating the entrepreneurial journey, addressing common challenges, and offering practical advice to help businesses thrive.

The summit aims to foster entrepreneurial growth and create new job opportunities in South Africa. SAFT chair Jonathan Oppenheimer explains, “Our goal is to help entrepreneurs realize their dreams and build a better economy by harnessing South Africans’ creativity, stamina, and ingenuity.” With this mission in mind, the event will include a live pitch session where entrepreneurs can showcase their ideas in front of top investors, potentially securing life-changing investments.

One of the summit’s most exciting features is the opportunity for one attendee to win a R500,000 investment in their business. Delegates will have the chance to demonstrate how the lessons learnt from the summit have helped them grow their ventures, with the winner being announced at the 2025 South African Future Trust Awards.

The event will also offer a free business advisory zone, providing expert advice on legal, tax, and compliance matters. Additionally, over 200 entrepreneurs will showcase their products, services, and solutions, giving participants a chance to connect, network, and learn from one another.

With its focus on empowering entrepreneurs and driving economic growth, the South African Future Trust Summit is a must-attend event for those looking to make their mark in the business world.
