What does the Merck Foundation bring the African Ministers together for?

LUSAKA, Zambia (CU)_The Merck Foundation, in partnership with the African Union and the Government of Zambia, conducted the Merck Foundation Africa Research Summit (MARS) 2021, virtually this year. The event was inaugurated by Zambian President Edgar Chagwa Lungu and Dr. Frank Stangenberg-Haverkamp Chairman of the Merck Foundation Board of Trustees. 

The First Lady of the Republic of Zambia, Esther Lungu, and CEO of Merck Foundation and member of the Egyptian Senate, Dr. Rasha Kelej, co-chaired the conference.

“I am very happy to have 26 African Ministers of different sectors, coming together for the MARS Online VC.
