NEW DELHI (CU)_ Last year, German, France and Netherlands announced their respective Indo-Pacific strategies, while the European Union approved its own strategy last month. During the interview, Jaishankar appreciated Brussels’ decision to view the region beyond trade relations, extending cooperation to areas such as infrastructure, defence and the digital sector. Nevertheless, he noted that New Delhi would certainly like to see a more active presence of the 27-member union in the Indo-Pacific.
