Ruchika Talwar,  at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States, is one among those attempting to send assistance. Talwar took to Instagram and posted a screenshot from a CNN story on Friday, which claimed that she had so far raised $500,000 to provide medical supplies such as oxygen concentrators to Indian hospitals that are dealing with the crisis. She thanked everyone for their contribution, support and donations and also for trusting her. She wrote, “There’s still so much work to be done”. Adding another update, she wrote, “Our Delhi concentrator shipment has made it through customs intact and is on the ground in India”.

Talwar has been giving updates on Instagram about the delivery of the supplies in India and where the emergent medical supplies are being sent. She notified that the supplies reached Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata. She also revealed her desire to include rural areas as well. She had previously shared an update, stating that she along with a number of other local doctors had collected nearly $75,000 in donations. She explained why the fundraiser was launched, stating that it begun to donate for the first consignment of 25 oxygen concentrators to India. She wrote, “It was the most direct way to use every penny, without fees”.
