pink velvet dinner jacket, reunited with co-stars including Rami Malek, Naomie Harris, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas and Lea Seydoux, for the 25th movie in the James Bond series, Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga.

However, the 53-year-old English actor and his dazzling co-stars failed to steal the spotlight from the Duchess of Cambridge, who attended the event alongside her husband, Prince William, and her in-laws, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Wearing a gold sequinned floor-length gilded cape gown by Jenny Packham, and her hair swept into a complicated up do, Kate managed to eclipse an entire red carpet of Bond stars as she reminisced the elegant style of the golden days of Hollywood. She walked the length of the carpet with her arms hanging at her sides, as she was accompanied by Prince William, who had opted for a 007-style black tuxedo.

Craig himself did not appear to mind being outshined by Kate, as he complimented the Duchess saying “you look jolly lovely”.

The English actor first took on the Bond role back in 2006 and speaking to the PA news agency, he revealed that his plans to retire from the franchise hadn’t changed, although he was delighted to be at the event. “It’s been a bittersweet couple of years, so one has to keep things in perspective. The decision to leave is still there, I’m just glad that we’ve got a chance to celebrate tonight and have a premiere. That seemed like such a faraway thing for a while,” he said.
