India (Commonwealth Union)_ When most children of his age are busy with schoolwork and playtime, eight-year-old Ranvir Singh Sachdeva is addressing global leaders and technology experts. Accordingly, Ranvir stepped onto the stage at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, becoming the youngest keynote speaker at the event. Calm and confident, he spoke about how ancient Indian philosophy connects with modern artificial intelligence. He also discussed how different countries are developing AI and where India stands in the global race.

During his speech, Ranvir explained that he has been working with a newly released Indian AI model. He shared how he is using it in practical ways, promoting AI literacy and, in his words, contributing to India’s economic growth. Born in 2017, Ranvir is often described as a child prodigy in technology. His parents say his interest in numbers and computers began early. By the age of three, he was mentally calculating squares and cubes, tasks many older students find challenging. Over time, his curiosity expanded to areas such as smart city systems, sustainability, space research, coding, and artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, Ranvir has also taken on ambassador roles at a very young age. He serves as an ITU160 Ambassador for the International Telecommunication Union and works as a technology ambassador with initiatives including ECB Sustainable Youth, City One Initiative, and the Chakra Dialogues Foundation. His achievements extend beyond public speaking. Ranvir holds a Google certification in Responsible AI and has built his own AI-powered chatbot capable of connecting with applications through APIs. He is also a published author. His book, Are You Born With AI?, is available globally through Amazon.

At just four years old, his summer project on a Mars mission was featured on the website of NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, an early sign of the recognition he would go on to receive. In 2023, at the age of five, Ranvir became an Apple Swift programmer. That milestone led to an invitation from Tim Cook to visit Apple Inc. headquarters in California during its annual developers’ conference. His growing list of honors includes recognition from institutions such as the Science Museum London, The Reading Agency UK, Schneider Electric, Google, Adobe, IIT Delhi, and Science Oxford.
Ranvir’s international presence continued to expand. In September 2024, at just six years old, he became the youngest person invited to attend the 79th session of the General Assembly at the United Nations headquarters in New York. He was also acknowledged by the UN Youth Affairs office for his work supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, following a meeting with Assistant Secretary-General Felipe Paullier. Additionally, he also holds the distinction of being one of the youngest TEDx speakers on technology and innovation in Asia, with his name recorded in the Asia Book of Records.
Furthermore, academic assessments have also added to the attention surrounding him. At six, Cambridge CEM evaluations indicated his knowledge in several subjects matched that of a 14-year-old student globally. Now eight, Ranvir is pursuing a machine learning course at Harvard University. From coding at five to speaking on global stages at eight, Ranvir Singh Sachdeva’s journey continues to draw international notice.
