But it was none other than Deputy President William Ruto who has been mourning the most for his old friend and former Sotik MP Antony Kimetto alias Sotet.
The cause for his death has been diabetic related complications. It appears that Kimetto had lived with the disease for a long time before finally succumbing to it.
His death was announced in the wee hours of the morning by the hospital in Nairobi in and official announcement. The hospital and its staff had tried everything they medically could to try and keep him alive but by the time he had arrived the disease and complications had gone too far and it proved to be an impossible task.
The doctors had tried for hours before finally giving up and announcing his time of death. Kimetto’s death is being mourned. The Kenyan Kwanza Leader William Ruto took to his official twitter and tweeted his condolences and sent his prayers to the family.
The statement read as follows “We are saddened by the death of former Sotik MP Anthony Kimetto. He was a level-headed leader, selfless and a consummate parliamentarian who spoke his mind. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and the people of Sotik. Rest In Peace.”
