Sri Lanka: In a landmark milestone for the Sri Lankan entertainment industry, South Asian pop sensation “Yohani” has announced the official collaboration with multi-platinum artist Sean Paul and Kes to release the official Sri Lankan anthem for the ICC T20 World Cup. “Outright Play” led by Dilanjan Seneviratne has played a key role in this landmark collaboration. This collaboration marks Yohani’s first musical partnership with Sean Paul, following her successful recent collaboration with Romanian artist; Edward Maya on the hit EDM track “Diamonds.”

The anthem, dedicated to Sri Lankan Cricket, is a vibrant and energetic track designed to rally fans and inspire the national team during the T20 World Cup. This project underscores Yohani’s rising international influence and reinforces her status as a global entertainment icon, hailing from Sri Lanka. The collaboration follows a series of significant achievements for Yohani, including her appointment as a brand ambassador for luxury watchmaker; TAG Heuer and the release of her debut album “Kella.”

Dilanjan Seneviratne, Founder and CEO of Outright Play who secured the collaboration on behalf of Yohani, expressed his excitement about the collaboration stating, “Yohani is arguably the first Sri Lankan artist to rise to this level of global repute, and this collaboration with Sean Paul and Kes for the ICC T20 World Cup anthem is a glimpse of her immense future potential and international appeal. We are thrilled to see her represent Sri Lanka on such a grand stage.”

Yohani is set to embark on a Russian tour alongside Edward Maya later this year, further expanding her international presence and showcasing her versatile musical talent across multiple varied genres. Further, she is currently based in Mumbai, working on her second studio album, scheduled for release in December this year.

“This collaboration with Sean Paul and Kes not only highlights Yohani’s musical prowess but also exemplifies how Sri Lankan artists can create significant financial value for the country through global projects and partnerships. Yohani is also preparing to expand her Hindi language catalogue under the T-Series label to solidify her presence in the Indian music industry,” concluded Dilanjan.

As the anthem launches, fans are encouraged to rally behind the Sri Lankan cricket team and enjoy the new track, which is now streaming on all major platforms. This collaboration aims to bring the spirit of Sri Lankan cricket to the global stage, celebrating the team’s efforts and the nation’s pride.

Sri Lankan lyricists Murshad Huvais, Lucky Lakmina, and Dilanjan Seneviratne have contributed towards writing the lyrics for the anthem, showcasing the depth and talent of Sri Lankan lyricists. The anthem lyrically not only celebrates Cricket but also the rich cultural heritage of Sri Lanka.

“We are thrilled at PopArabia to announce the release of the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup official anthem, “Out Of This World,” performed by the legendary Sean Paul and Kes, alongside remix versions for Sri Lanka with Yohani, for India with DIVINE and for Pakistan with Bilal Saeed,” stated Spek, the Chief Executive Officer of Pop Arabia in a statement.
