Holland America Line (HML) marks 100 years of Caribbean Cruising with a special anniversary offer that includes a USD 100 onboard credit for two.
Holland America Line (HML) was one of the first cruise lines in the region when it began sailing to the Caribbean in 1926.
HML’s Veendam 2 sailed from New York in February 1926. It chartered a course that would help define Caribbean cruising. This made the company one of the first to offer regularly scheduled vacations to the region for guests seeking a warm-weather getaway. A century later, HML is commemorating 100 years of Caribbean cruising. The company is currently offering a limited-time promotion that includes a USD 100 onboard credit for a party of two.

Guests have the option of escaping the cold by reserving select Caribbean sailings. They depart from now through April 30 to receive up to 50% off fares. Also includes a USD 50 each guest onboard credit with free fares for children (18 and under on select sailings).
Travelers can benefit from a refreshingly free style of Caribbean cruising. There were no oversized ships, amusement parks at sea, or overcrowded beaches and decks. Guests would be able to unwind, enjoy quiet moments, and truly savor time together. This is also while indulging in fresh, globally inspiring cuisine while exploring ports at a comfortable pace. This leads to creating a more relaxed, spacious, and genuinely rejuvenating manner of experiencing the Caribbean.
The president of HAL, Beth Bodensteiner, said that HML’s first Caribbean voyage in 1926 marked a defining moment for HML and for the evolution of modern cruise travel. As HML celebrates 100 years, HML wanted to offer something both meaningful and memorable. So the USD 100 represents 100 years, with added ways for guests to save. It’s HML’s way of honoring the milestone while inviting travelers to experience what sets HML apart in the Caribbean.
