Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Bollywood’s power couple, have publicly revealed their daughter, Dua, for the first time. The couple shared a series of loving, festive photographs on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse inside their Diwali celebrations and their baby’s debut. Deepika and Ranveer are seen in traditional clothes, beaming with excitement as they celebrate the Festival of Lights. Deepika wore a stunning red ethnic suit with statement jewelry, while Ranveer chose a smart off-white kurta and jacket with a classic necklace.

But what truly caught everyone’s attention was baby Dua, who twinned with her mom in a red dress. The couple held her lovingly, and in one of the most heartwarming moments, Deepika was seen holding Dua close as they performed the Diwali puja together. Dua, wearing a tiny smile and sucking on her finger in one photo, instantly stole hearts across social media. Another frame showed Ranveer wrapping his arms around both Deepika and Dua, creating a picture-perfect family moment. The final photo in the set captured a quiet moment of mother and daughter seated during the prayer ceremony.

The family was styled in outfits by Sabyasachi, known for its rich, festive designs. This was not the first time Deepika has worn the designer post-motherhood; earlier this year, she appeared in Sabyasachi attire for a special event celebrating its 25 years in the fashion industry. That appearance marked one of her earliest public outings after giving birth to Dua in September 2024. The caption of the post read, “Wishing you a very Happy Diwali”.
Fans and celebrities alike could not stop gushing over the photos. The comments section quickly filled with love. Hansika Motwani wrote, “So cute,” while Rajkummar Rao added, “So cute. This marks the first time fans have seen Dua’s face since the couple announced her birth. Last Diwali, Deepika and Ranveer revealed their daughter’s name in a heartfelt post: “Dua—meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude.” The couple has been together since 2013 after meeting on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. After dating for several years, they got secretly engaged in 2015 and tied the knot in a grand ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, on November 14, 2018. Their wedding included two ceremonies, honoring Deepika’s Konkani background and Ranveer’s Sindhi roots. Their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, was born on September 8, 2024.
On the work front, both actors continue to stay busy. Ranveer is currently working on Aditya Dhar’s next project, as well as the much-anticipated Don 3 with director Farhan Akhtar. Deepika, who was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, is now gearing up for a sci-fi film directed by Atlee, co-starring Allu Arjun. The project, backed by Sun Pictures, is tentatively titled AA22 x A6. There’s also buzz around her teaming up once again with Shah Rukh Khan for an upcoming film titled King.
