All-inclusive family packaged outbound visits from the UK have reflected a significant quantum increase. These are for popular holiday destinations, which include Spain, Cyprus, & Turkey.

Cyprus witnessed the second-highest increase, with average weekly prices in August 2025 rising by 23% from USD 1,273 per person to USD 1,562.44, as reported by the BBC, citing data compiled by TravelSupermarket.

The UAE experienced the steepest rise, with costs climbing from USD 1,621.40 to USD 2,043.50 this year. Of the 10 most-searched popular destinations, it was only Italy & Tunisia that recorded price decreases of 11% and 4%, respectively.

The top 5 most searched destinations—Spain, Greece, Turkey, the UAE & Portugal—all recorded a rise in associated costs. Spain prices increased from USD 1,118.90 to USD 1,224.76. Meantime, Greece climbed from USD 1,240.84 to USD 1,390.92, while Turkey increased from USD 1,171.15 to USD 1,344.02.

Data was compiled from online searches conducted over a couple of successive months from 18 April to 17 June 2025 for all-inclusive, 7-night family holidays in both August 2024 and August 2025.

Chief executive of Advantage Travel Partnership, Julia Lo Bue, told the BBC that the increases reflected operational cost pressures across the hospitality sector.

Bue went on to share with BBC that these increases simply keep pace with the broader cost of doing business and reflect the reality of higher operational expenses. These costs are reflected in increased energy bills affecting hotels and elevated food costs that are impacting restaurants, coupled with rising wage costs witnessed across the hospitality sector.

However, Buo observed evidence of some holidaymakers maintaining their spending capacity. This was due to customers upgrading to premium packages, besides tending to opt for booking expensive cabin seats for long-haul destinations such as Dubai.

Travel consultant Luke Fitzspatrick, representing Perfect Gateways in Liverpool, told BBC that customers were tending to reduce holiday durations to manage costs.

Fitzpatrick went on to tell BBC that last year Perfect Gateways witnessed many travelers reducing their durations to 4–7 nights as a short weekend vacation to get away to benefit from receiving some sunshine.
