These vendors are a familiar part of daily life in many Indian cities. However, instead of ignoring it, Vinisha became curious about its wider impact.

As she looked deeper into the issue, she discovered the scale of the problem. India is thought to have millions of such merchants, many of whom rely on charcoal for their livelihood. The environmental cost, when considered across the country, is enormous, contributing to pollution and increasing carbon emissions. Over a period of about six months, she worked on developing an alternative. The end solution was “Iron Max,” a solar-powered ironing trolley that replaces charcoal with renewable energy. The concept was simple yet effective: utilize solar instead of fuel, eliminate smoke, and minimize environmental impact.

Vinisha’s age and attitude add to the significance of her achievement. While working on the project, she apparently learned about modern scientific subjects, such as advanced physics, in order to better comprehend and perfect her idea. Her work demonstrates a great degree of self-motivation and discipline. Her idea quickly gained a global audience. Vinisha was asked to speak at COP26, where she gave a brief presentation on her proposal and its potential impact. Her speech later gained widespread attention online, helping her story reach people around the world.
