From pulse-pounding action dramas and whimsical supernatural comedies to heartfelt romances and thought-provoking social commentaries, this month’s offerings seem to have something for everyone.
Dacoit: A Love Story
The first film is Dacoit: A Love Story, which hit cinemas on April 10th. The film, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, is about two former lovers who are pushed back into each other’s lives due to hazardous circumstances. Drawn into a series of perilous heists, they must confront both their shared history and their current circumstances. Shaneil Deo directed the film, which promises a mix of high-octane action and heartfelt storytelling set against a dirty, brutal setting.
Toaster
For viewers who prefer watching from home, Toaster premieres on Netflix on April 15. Featuring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, this dark comedy revolves around a wedding that quickly spirals into chaos. With its mix of dry humour and unexpected twists, the film turns an everyday situation into something completely unpredictable.
Bhooth Bangla
On April 17, Bhooth Bangla brings together the much-loved duo of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan. This creepy comedy also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi. The narrative focuses around a group of people trapped in a haunted house, with frightening scenes intermingled with amusing comedy.
MaatruBhumi: May War Rest in Peace
The same day will witness the premiere of MaatruBhumi: May War Rest in Peace, a war drama starring Salman Khan. After multiple delays, the film is finally ready to hit theaters, and it is supposed to present an emotional drama set against a backdrop of violence.

Ginny Weds Sunny 2
Closing the month on April 24 is Ginny Weds Sunny 2, a follow-up to the popular 2020 film. This time, Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr take the lead. Mercy

Drishyam 3
Later in the year, Drishyam 3, starring Ajay Devgn, will release on October 2, continuing one of Bollywood’s most successful thriller franchises. The film traces its roots to the original Malayalam series led by Mohanlal.
Ramayana Part 1
Another highly awaited film is Ramayana Part 1, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi. Despite mixed reviews to its early graphics, it is still one among the most anticipated Diwali releases.
King
Finally, the year will conclude on a high note with King, an action thriller done by Shah Rukh Khan.
