Khalifa revealed that she had placed a huge bet of nearly Rs 9.65 crore on Spain to win the tournament. When Spain defeated defending champions Argentina 1-0 after extra time, her gamble paid off. The winning bet returned around Rs 15.92 crore, including her original stake, leaving her with an estimated profit of Rs 6.27 crore.

Soon after the final whistle, Khalifa shared photos from the stadium wearing a Spain jersey with young star Lamine Yamal‘s name on the back. She also posted a screenshot of her betting slip, celebrating the result with a humorous message. “Believed and won big. So proud of my home country Spain, not a drop of Spanish blood in me,” she wrote, joking about supporting the European champions despite having no Spanish roots.

Spain won the title with a 1-0 victory over Argentina in extra time, with Ferran Torres scoring the decisive goal in the 106th minute. Argentina was left with 10 men in a tense final when Enzo Fernández was shown a red card for a reckless tackle. Lionel Messi and his teammates failed to break through the solid Spain defense as the European side lifted their second men’s World Cup trophy. While Khalifa is celebrating her impressive betting win, experts point out that a large portion of her earnings could be subject to taxes, depending on the applicable laws.
