MUMBAI, India (CWBN)_ The Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar sent a legal notice to the YouTuber Rashid Siddiqee from Bihar for publishing defamation videos against him in his YouTube channel FF News. Additionally, the actor demanded an INR 500 crore compensation from the YouTuber for damaging his name in the death case of the late actor Sushanth Singh Rajput. Akshay Kumar sent his legal notice through the law firm IC Legal last week.

The actor accused the YouTuber for uploading several defamatory, calumnious and degrading videos against him that has resulted in damaging his name widely on the social media. The actor also demanded for an unconditional apology from the YouTuber and removal of all defaming contents from the channel.

The legal notice sent by the actor to the YouTuber said, “Our client (Akshay Kumar) states that because of your (Rashid Siddiquee’s) scandalous, defamatory and derogatory videos, he has suffered mental trauma agony and huge loss, including loss of reputation and goodwill, which our client quantifies at ₹ 500 crore”. Further, the legal notice said, “The said videos make several false and baseless allegations against our client (Akshay Kumar) that he helped (actor) Rhea Chakraborty abscond to Canada, that our client had secret meetings with (Maharashtra minister) Aaditya Thackeray and the Mumbai police Commissioner to discuss the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput and so on”.

The notice added that these videos were made only for the purpose of cheap publicity and to misguide the public and these false and defaming videos have disturbed the actor’s professional life to a great extent that he faced disrespect and embarrassment in his public appearances.

The actor in his notice mandated the YouTuber to publish an unconditional apology in his channel and remove all defaming videos from the channel and to stop uploading such videos in future. He further said if the YouTuber fails to do so in three days, further legal actions will be taken against him.

The Mumbai police had taken the YouTuber under custody for another defamation case on Mumbai police and Minister Aaditya Thackeray and Maharashtra government and he was granted bail later by the Mumbai court ordering him to cooperate with the examination.
