Mumbai, India (CU)_ Servotech Power Systems Ltd, a New Delhi-based manufacturer of LED lights, solar panels, and UVC disinfection goods, recently announced that it will begin producing oxygen concentrators at its site near the Kundli border. By March 2022, the company plans to launch 1,00,000 concentrators in two versions: 5 LPM and 10 LPM, with prices starting at INR 35,000.

The oxygen machine operates at a flow rate of 1-10 LPM, allowing for a continuous supply of oxygen 24 hours a day. The device assures a continuous flow of oxygen using an incorporated pure copper oil-free compressor. An aluminum-magnesium alloy cooling fan is used to power the oxygen concentrator, ensuring a longer life and improved performance. The device is user-friendly and simple to operate and features an HD LCD touchscreen as well as an active power conservation mode that enables usage of the oxygen supply during sleep.

Both machines feature a pressure alarm, a power off alert, and an abnormal voltage alarm. The weight of this medical-grade oxygen generator is said to be 19-33 kgs and has an input AC of 220V and 50Hz, and uses less than 400VA of power, and can run continuously for 2000 hours. According to a statement from Servotech, the concentrators will be provided to hospitals, foundations, medical institutions, corporate institutions, and other appropriate stakeholders that are in need of the product.

Raman Bhatia ,Servotech MD, explained about the demand for oxygen concentrators during the pandemic and the need for it in the future. He said, “Everybody witnessed the hurried rush for oxygen concentrators when the second wave hit India. Centre and states made immense efforts to augment the supply of oxygen, with private sector companies also pitching in. And as predicted by experts, the third wave of Covid-19 is expected too, which can be handled with better preparedness. While we were already contributing by manufacturing oxygen concentrators at an affordable price, we realised that the parts of the concentrators weren’t made in India. However, while we were making our fair contribution, we were also working on making the concentrators entirely made in India.”
