LONDON (CU)_As COVID-19 infections continue to surge across Europe, several states across the continent, including Germany, Norway and Belgium, announced plans to beef up measures to address the low uptake of vaccines among populations. On Friday (19 Nov), Austria became the first country in the region to make coronavirus jabs mandatory, as the government set the deadline for at least one shot by 1 February 2022. Greece, on the other hand, announced a ban on unvaccinated people from restaurants, bars, cinemas, gyms and museums, while in Slovakia the restrictions are extended to shopping malls and other non-essential stores.
