Pakistan (Commonwealth Union)_ As the long march towards Islamabad resumed, Imran Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asked party members and supporters to end the road blockade. Imran Khan took to his official Twitter account and posted: “As our Long March for Haqeeqi Azadi has resumed once again, I am calling on all our workers to end their road blockades with immediate effect.”

The central leadership of the party decided to resume the long march from the same location in Wazirabad where party chairman Imran Khan was wounded after an assassination attempt. During a PTI meeting presided over by Khan in Lahore, it was finalized that the Haqeeqi Azadi march would proceed to Rawalpindi from the site following the public assembly.

According to the PTI statement, the party leaders from Faisalabad and other regions of the nation will move toward Rawalpindi in groups, with further convoys reaching the city in the third week of November. According to the party, a three-member inquiry committee will be constituted soon, which will enable an investigation to be done by the local police and the joint investigation team.

Following their meeting, the PTI announced that the party had only one demand: that elections be held immediately. In addition, the party has requested that all provincial assemblies be dissolved and that emergency elections be held in all four provinces. At the meeting, party members also passed a resolution in support of Khan, while all elected PTI members in the Center, four provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan will ask the Supreme Court to file a first information report (FIR) against the attack on their party chairman.
