The Buffalo Blizzard, as nicknamed by weather reporters, has attacked Northern America, leaving cities in a state of warzone, as mentioned by the State Governor of the Buffalo city in New York which is mainly affected by the winter storm.

The Governor went on to mention that it’s like the city is in constant war with Mother Nature who has not held back, hitting the city with brutal force, leaving many dead and multiple people injured.

The storm started brewing in Canada and stretched on to the Mexican border killing a total of 56 people in the process as bodies were discovered amidst the snowdrift. Many locals believe that more people have died, but haven’t been discovered yet due to the blizzard, and that once the snow melted, more bodies could be retrieved.

The worst affected in this life-threatening storm is the city of Buffalo, with 27 reported deaths.

Governor Hochul, a native of Buffalo explained how difficult it was to get aid to the victims as vehicles got stuck in the storm or had no way of driving to the greatly affected areas amidst the blizzard.

A family with little kids aged 2 – 6 waited 11 hours on Christmas morning to be rescued from the treacherous storm. The father said that he had lost all hope while he tried his level best to keep his family warm by running the engine, and distracting them from the dire situation by attempting to play games.

Experts reveal that the storm is caused due to the plummeting of the Earth’s atmospheric pressure, unleashing harsh rains and heavy snow. This has made it difficult for travel to take place, and officials warn tourists to pause travel plans to Northern America until the storm eases.

As a grave consequence of the storm, 250,000 homes in affected regions experienced power outages, however, reports claim that power is now restored.

The storm is expected to last a few more days before the impact of it reduces.
