India (Commonwealth Union)_ DS Group or Dharampal Satyapal Group, a top FMCG conglomerate, has partnered with luxury Swiss chocolate brand Laderach to launch its first Swiss luxury chocolate brand in India. This strategic plan is intended to enhance DS Group’s presence in the confectionery sector and also officially mark its entry into the chocolate business, which is the leading in the confectionery segment.
DS Group is already a reputed player in the confectionery business, having brands like Pulse, Chingles, Rajnigandha Silver Pearls, and Maze under its belt. Additionally, the group also owns luxury retail experience nurturing brands like Le Marche, L’Opera, Uncafe, and Les Petits, and has been running globally popular brands like Brioni, Tom Ford, Berluti, and Brunello Cucinelli. Further, a research by the IMARC Group revealed that the Indian chocolate market stood at a value of US$ 2.2 billion in 2021 and is anticipated to touch US$ 3.8 billion by 2027, with a CAGR of 9.1% during 2022-2027.
