Pro-Life Alberta party is focusing on raising money instead of votes!

Canada_ (Commonwealth) _ It looks that Murray Ruhl is not active on social media. Despite five years of running the Pro-Life Alberta Political Association, he has never been cited in any Alberta media outlet.

There isn’t a picture anyplace online. Recently, Ruhl, the party’s president, was unable to be found on the website.

The party, in fact, won’t even reveal the identity of the leader or the area of Alberta where he resides. (Calgary, per the campaign funding reports.) According to Richard Dur, executive director of Pro-Life Alberta, it makes no difference since the organization places no value on individuals.

This is only one of the many unorthodox aspects of Ruhl’s celebration. On its one subject, opposing abortion rights, it conducts political advertisements, but they seem more like third-party advocacy marketing than anything else on the partisan scene.

The group’s website makes no reference to candidates or the impending election, and Pro-Life Alberta has actually recommended how to take part in the ruling UCP’s leadership contest.

Its prominent DONATE button on its website is one factor that sets it apart from other organizations. On the majority of its website pages, the party notes that donations qualify for tax credits that can equal up to 75% of the value of a contribution.

The party believes that this offers it a significant competitive advantage over the province’s other anti-abortion organizations. According to the organization’s website, “Pro-Life Alberta is Alberta’s only political pro-life organization that can engage in politics, including during provincial elections.”

By appealing to anti-abortion extremists and avoiding any mention of candidates, the leader, or anything else a traditional party could advertise, it has become a financial powerhouse. However, it aims to use its legal authority as a party to promote its one topic during the upcoming election. Without a winning mindset, it will have a different definition of success.
