Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Actress Sonam Kapoor’s mother Sunita Kapoor is ecstatic as her daughter delivered a spoken-word performance at King Charles III’s Coronation Concert, held in celebration of the monarch at Westminster Abbey in England. The day after the historic coronation, Sonam took the center stage and introduced all the choir performers from the Commonwealth. Sharing her immense joy on social media, Sunita Kapoor shared a video of Sonam’s speech on Instagram, expressing how proud she is of her daughter’s achievement. She wrote, “So proud! Such an honor.” In response, Sonam said, “Love you”.
Along with Sunita, Sonam’s cousin Arjun Kapoor and uncle Sanjay Kapoor congratulated her and dropped red heart and applause emojis. Maheep Kapoor and Karan Boolani also wished the actress. Actress Neelam Kothari Soni also joined in, adding, “This is such an honor,” with applause and heart emojis. Sonam Kapoor began her speech by greeting the audience with “Namaste” and emphasizing the unity of the Commonwealth. She said that despite each country’s uniqueness and diverse people, they stand together, driven by their shared values, learning from their history to build a peaceful, sustainable, and prosperous future where every voice is heard.

Sonam Kapoor also made a fashion statement at the Coronation Concert by wearing a stunning floral off-shoulder gown. She shared pictures of herself on Instagram and revealed that the dress was a collaborative effort between her two favorite designers, Anamika Khanna and Emilia Wickstead. She captioned the post as, “Historic moments call for fashion moments.
