Hotels (Commonwealth Union) _ Lemon Tree Hotels, under the leadership of Chairman and Managing Director Patanjali Keswani, is embarking on an ambitious global expansion plan, targeting key cities like London, Singapore, New York, and Hong Kong. Keswani envisions managing and operating hotels in these strategic locations, considering that 70% of Indian travelers prefer destinations such as New York, London, Dubai, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The company aims to capitalize on the growth potential in both the domestic and international unbranded hotel sectors.

Keswani emphasized the shift toward management contracts, stating that out of the company’s current 10,000 rooms, 6,000 are owned, and they plan to increase their room inventory to 20,000, with 70% being managed contracts. Lemon Tree Hotels initiated its international expansion with hotel openings in Dubai (2019), Bhutan (2020), and additional properties in Nepal. The company plans to open five to six more hotels in Nepal over the next three years. The company’s current operations in 61 destinations with over 9,400 rooms across 96 hotels under seven brands highlight its substantial presence in the hospitality industry. With ongoing developments, the company aims to expand further, projecting an increased presence to 13,300 rooms in 153 hotels across 97 destinations. This strategic expansion signifies the company’s commitment to growth and meeting the diverse needs of travelers in various locations.

Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a new property, Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Yadagirigutta, in Telangana, as part of its recent expansion efforts. The company’s strategic vision aligns with maintaining a robust year-on-year revenue growth of 15% over the next four years. The focus on global expansion underscores Lemon Tree Hotels’ commitment to providing a diverse range of hospitality offerings to meet the evolving needs of travelers worldwide. With an emphasis on management contracts and an extensive pipeline of developments, the company is well-positioned to make a significant impact in the international hospitality landscape.
