(Commonwealth)_ CEVA Logistics recently announced its acquisition agreement to acquire 96% ownership of Mumbai-based Stellar Value Chain Solutions. This deal involves the purchase from a consortium comprising private equity firm Warburg Pincus and other shareholders. Founded in 2016 by Anshuman Singh, Stellar Value Chain Solutions has rapidly established itself as a cornerstone entity in the domain of contract logistics. The company specializes in providing comprehensive omni-channel fulfillment services spanning a wide array of sectors. Their expertise extends across diverse industries such as eCommerce, automotive, food products, consumer goods, fashion, retail, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. Since its inception, Stellar Value Chain Solutions has played a pivotal role in the logistics landscape, leveraging its proficiency in catering to the multifaceted demands of various industries. By offering omni-channel fulfillment services, the company has addressed the intricate needs of clients operating in different sectors, emphasizing efficiency, reliability, and adaptability in its logistical operations.

This acquisition by CEVA Logistics marks a significant move, reflecting the company’s strategic intent to expand its presence and capabilities within the contract logistics domain. By integrating Stellar Value Chain Solutions into its portfolio, CEVA aims to leverage the expertise and established position of the acquired entity to further enhance its offerings and solidify its foothold in key sectors across the logistics industry. Post-acquisition, Anshuman Singh will continue to helm the business, ensuring continuity and driving its growth trajectory. This acquisition will grant CEVA access to approximately 7.7 million square feet spanning over 70 facilities across 21 Indian cities. Moreover, CEVA will inherit Stellar’s workforce comprising nearly 8,000 proficient full-time and temporary employees, possessing extensive expertise and robust connections within India.

CEVA Logistics views the acquisition of Stellar Value Chain Solutions as a pivotal step to expand its presence and impact within India. This strategic move is designed to strengthen CEVA’s foothold in the country significantly. The primary objective is to bolster various aspects crucial for the company’s growth, including the local workforce, asset base, customer portfolio, and operational capabilities. This expansion aligns seamlessly with CEVA’s overarching strategy, aiming to provide comprehensive end-to-end solutions across the supply chain spectrum. By enhancing these key elements, CEVA aims to offer a more holistic and efficient service to its diverse clientele. Furthermore, this move isn’t just about India. It’s a crucial milestone in CEVA’s broader strategic development within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. By solidifying its presence in Indian contract logistics, CEVA can leverage its global expertise and proficiency. This leverage is intended to bring about heightened operational efficiency and foster innovation, especially tailored to cater to the needs and expectations of its expanding customer base in the region.

The acquisition is envisioned as more than a simple addition to CEVA’s portfolio. It represents a strategic investment aimed at creating synergies between CEVA’s global capabilities and the unique demands of the Indian market. By integrating local expertise with global proficiency, CEVA aspires to offer unparalleled services that not only meet but exceed the evolving expectations of its customers in India and across the Asia Pacific. Mathieu Friedberg, CEO of CEVA Logistics, expressed enthusiasm, underscoring the intent to ascend among the top global logistics players. He highlighted the significance of expanding into key market segments and fortifying their presence in India, leveraging Stellar’s robust network of contract logistics facilities and esteemed clientele. Anshuman Singh, founder of Stellar Value Chain Solutions, acknowledged Warburg Pincus’ support and expressed eagerness about the transition to CEVA Logistics.
