USA (Commonwealth Union)_ Renowned Indian-American physician, Dr. Dhaval Shah, has initiated a scholarship program in his name, titled the “Dr. Dhaval Shah Scholarships for Future Doctors.”
This initiative aims to support aspiring students who wish to pursue careers in medicine. The scholarship, amounting to US$1000, is available for both undergraduate students and high school seniors who are planning to embark on a medical degree.

According to the official website, the scholarship criteria have been carefully designed to identify individuals who embody the qualities and values championed by Dr. Dhaval Shah. To apply for the scholarship, candidates are required to submit an essay of 500 to 1000 words. The essay should articulate their mission in medicine and demonstrate how these goals align with the values of compassion, dedication, and innovation that define Dr. Shah’s distinguished career.

All students with a strong interest in healthcare and medicine, irrespective of their chosen specialty or subfield, are eligible for this scholarship. Each year, one outstanding student will be selected to receive the $1,000 award. The application deadline is set for June 15, 2024, and the selection process will conclude on July 15 with the announcement of the scholarship recipient. Currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Shah has held leadership positions such as CEO of InfusionmedUSA, Carrollton Hospital, and Chief Development Officer for Improve Bio-Science, a company committed to advancing pancreatic cancer research. Dr. Shah has garnered numerous accolades and recognition for his pioneering work in infectious diseases, genomic research, and healthcare leadership.
