India (Commonwealth ) _ Ellyse Perry became the first woman to hold a record of getting six -wicket haul and being the anchor to help the team to secure the win against Mumbai Indians, in the Women’s Premier League’s history. In RCB’s crucial WPL match against the Mumbai Indians, Perry took six wickets. The Bangalore team made it to the WPL playoffs for the first time thanks to Perry’s heroics.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore to go to the postseason, they required a unique ingredient. And Ellyse Perry, the Wonder Woman, delivered just that. She conceded just 16 runs in her allotted 4 overs and was able to claim 6 dismissals.

Perry was added to the bowling assault towards the end. In her first nine deliveries, she failed to get a wicket. She did, however, reverse the trend and take six wickets in the following fifteen deliveries. Perry wrote the greatest bowling display in WPL history with 4 bowled and 2 LBWs.

It was nice to go outside and have a fantastic game with the girls; it was a lot of fun. In the past three years, I have worked with coaches back home and have really liked bowling. After the game, Perry remarked, “I just managed to find a good length and it did a little bit off the wicket.”

The games came thick and fast, and I really enjoyed working with Richa Ghosh. It was also wonderful to hang around in the center for a while. Perry stated, “We are looking forward to playing some good cricket here and getting used to the conditions in Delhi.”

Australian athlete Ellyse Alexandra Perry was born on November 3, 1990, and has played soccer and cricket for her nation. At the age of sixteen, she made her debut for the national soccer team and cricket team, making her the youngest Australian to play international cricket and the first to represent her country in both the FIFA and ICC World Cups (she only made an appearance as a replacement for the Matildas squad after the 89th minute).

Perry’s celebrated cricket career flourished and she went on to become a single-sport professional athlete starting in 2014. Today, many people rank her as one of the greatest players of all time.

Perry is an authentic all-round player who possesses exceptional skill in both batting and fast bowling, as evidenced by her numerous statistical accomplishments. She was the first player in T20Is history to accumulate 1,000 runs and 100 wickets, she holds the record for the highest score by an Australian woman in Test matches (213 not out), and she was the third player in women’s ODI history to take 150 wickets.

Her support of several prosperous teams in both local and international cricket’s major forms has resulted in her winning eight world titles with Australia, eleven WNCL titles with New South Wales, as well as two NBA titles with the Sydney Sixers.  In addition, she has received other individual honors, including being named one of the Wisden Five Cricketers of the Decade: 2010–19 and earning the Rachel Heyhoe Flint Award and the Belinda Clark Award three times each. Perry is seen as a key player in the increasing representation of women in Australian sports culture because of her achievements on the field, her marketability off the field, and her reputation as “the ultimate role model”.

Perry is an all-around cricket player who bowls at right arm speed and bats right handed. She has a powerful throwing arm and safe hands, making her an excellent fielder as well. Perry is especially skilled at riding the boundary because of her tall, athletic frame and quickness on the ground.

Moreover, she frequently produces “incredible” catches and runouts from her own bowling. During her 288-match career, Perry has amassed 6,165 runs and 323 wickets in all formats of international cricket. She has amassed 7,593 runs in 279 matches in major domestic competitions while taking 230 wickets. Perry’s critical performance indicators for each major format and tournament she has participated in are included in the table below.[

The current second season of the Women’s Premier competition, a women’s franchise Twenty20 cricket competition run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), is called the TATA Women’s Premier League 2024 (also known as WPL 2024). The competition, which has five teams participating, begins on February 23.
