Hotels (Commonwealth Union) _ Nestled in the heart of the Indian Ocean, the Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa is a luxurious sanctuary on the private Amingiri Island in North Male Atoll. Since its launch two years ago, this sun-drenched paradise has earned accolades, including a spot among the top ten resorts in the Maldives at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2024.

The resort offers an array of lavish accommodations, from beach villas with private terraces leading to pristine beaches, to overwater villas featuring spacious sundecks and private pools. These villas provide unparalleled relaxation and direct access to the azure waters, making them ideal for both tranquil retreats and romantic getaways.

Guests can explore vibrant marine life and stunning coral reefs through the resort’s guided snorkelling tours and diving expeditions. For a deeper connection with nature, dolphin-watching excursions are also available.

To mark its second anniversary, the resort has organized a week-long celebration dubbed the Amingiri Birth-dheyh Party. Beginning on July 1, guests will be welcomed with a traditional boduberu performance, followed by a ceremonial cake cutting and cocktail soirée. The festivities include a Beach Market buffet dinner, showcasing the rich heritage of Maldivian cuisine and cultural performances.

Throughout the week, guests are encouraged to reconnect with nature through activities such as tree planting and a coral planting project, symbolizing growth and environmental preservation. Additional events include a painting competition, a glamorous fashion show, and the fashion-forward White Party.

Culinary delights await at Origin, the resort’s charismatic restaurant, offering a night of gastronomic pleasure paired with vintage wines and Maldivian hospitality. For meat lovers, the Fire and Smoke Chef’s Table at the Beach Shack promises an evening of savory indulgence.

Guests can also enjoy the Sagaafy Colada, a locally inspired cocktail crafted with Maldivian spice, screw-pine, and fresh coconut. The Amingiri Spa & Hammam will feature biodynamic craniosacral therapy sessions, Tibetan singing bowl sound therapy, and yoga classes with visiting therapist Pallavi Sawant.

Children can partake in their own celebrations at the Krakengiri Kids’ Club, one of the largest youth-centric spaces in the Maldives, offering a variety of fun-filled activities and games.

Travelers who book a stay of four nights or more by September 30, 2024, will enjoy a half-board meal plan and complimentary shared return speedboat transfer on board the Maldivian Bliss, adding to the allure of this idyllic getaway.
