Plans have been submitted to the Central Coast Council outlining Singleton’s vision to expand the Elanora Hotel precinct, a project close to his heart. The proposed development blueprint encompasses a new 60-room motel situated on Brougham St in East Gosford. The initiative also encompasses extensive enhancements to the Elanora Hotel, demonstrating Singleton’s ongoing commitment to the area where he resides and invests fervently. Under the banner of his company, Bonython Elanora Pty Ltd, comprehensive plans have been outlined for the 7775 sqm East Gosford site. The proposed transformation involves the demolition of the former motel, existing bottle shop, commercial premises, car wash, and car park. In their place, a three-story motel, a modern drive-through bottle shop, and a two-level car park boasting 148 parking spaces are set to take shape. This redevelopment signals Singleton’s dedication to revitalizing and elevating the local landscape while aligning with his passion for the Central Coast. The beloved Elanora Hotel, fondly referred to as “The Elly” by locals, is poised for a transformative makeover, signaling significant enhancements in its offerings. The proposed changes encompass an array of modifications aimed at augmenting the overall experience for patrons.
Among the key alterations, plans outline the addition of extra dining spaces, including a terrace featuring a retractable roof, promising an inviting ambiance for guests. The proposed modifications extend to the bar area, seating arrangements, and amenities, with a keen focus on modernization and improved facilities. Notably, a new children’s play area is also set to be introduced as part of the revitalization efforts. In his statement to The Daily Telegraph, Singleton emphasized the intention to upgrade the rear sections of the hotel. The plan involved expanding the property’s offerings by introducing a 40-60 room motel adjacent to the existing hotel. His vision entails enlarging various aspects of the establishment while maintaining its essence as a family-friendly venue.
