Advice to property developers in Kenya to spur affordable housing

NAIROBI (CU)_Over the recent years, the government of Kenya has accelerated its efforts to create an enabling environment for property developers in order to improve the country’s housing affordability. Some of these measures include value-added tax and relief on affordable housing for those developing, acceleration in the issuance of title deeds, as well as the development of roads and other infrastructure. Nevertheless, the industry is finding itself unable to meet the growing demand for houses as a result of several challenges.
