Apollo Hospitals invests INR 450 crores to expand its wings in Haryana!

Chennai, India (CU)_ Apollo Hospitals has made a whopping INR 450 crore investment in a hospital asset in Gurugram. In an attempt to expand its presence in the NCR region, the group has purchased the hospital facility from Nayati Healthcare and Research NCR Private Ltd. With this purchase, the hospital chain enters the state of Haryana. The healthcare facility is located in a safe hospital zone area of about 7 lakh square feet and contains 650 beds. The deal was executed by Apollo Hospitals’ wholly-owned subsidiary, Apollo Hospitals North Ltd, and financed with the group’s excess funds.

According to the statement from Apollo hospitals, “The hospital will establish the group’s presence in the millennial city of Gurugram, one of India’s fastest growing cities, with an aspirational population and significant brand equity for Apollo Hospitals, due to its existing footprint in the region. The upcoming integrated healthcare complex located on Golf Course Road in Gurugram would be commissioned in 24 months”. The statement added, “It will endeavor to extend advanced clinical solutions and services to the citizens of the state and the country through its experienced faculties and international collaborations and will strongly position the city as an international healthcare destination”.

According to Apollo Hospitals, the Gurugram facility would serve as an incubator for developments in digital healthcare, healthcare accelerators, and start-ups, thereby improving the nation’s healthcare ecosystem and propelling the country and the state of Haryana toward standard practices and world-class healthcare. In addition, the hospital network stated that it will collaborate closely with the Haryana government to accomplish the aims and objectives.

Dr Prathap C Reddy, Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Group, expressed optimism over the new acquisition.
