Australia (Common Wealth) _ AGL Energy (AGL) and bp pulse have signed a three-year agreement that will build on AGL’s current EV at home network and bp pulse’s existing on-the-go charging network to help accelerate transport electrification.

The collaboration will enable consumers who sign up for AGL’s upgraded EV home energy package in New South Wales with a lower pricing for public charging at bp pulse stations.

AGL and bp plan to provide solutions and services for EV drivers that make charging simple and affordable, whether on the road or at home, decreasing EV drivers’ range anxiety.

Another salient feature  of the agreement is the exploration and collaboration on the deployment of renewable energy-powered public charging infrastructure, which aligns with both companies’ vision of providing a low-carbon future in which customers are at the forefront of the net-zero transition.

The firms will strive to give EV drivers with a convenient and integrated smart charging experience by combining AGL’s expertise in charging at home with bp pulse’s public charging sites, making it easier for consumers to migrate to electric transportation.

The deal with bp pulse, according to AGL Chief Customer Officer Jo Egan, matches with AGL’s commitment on supporting the electrification of the way consumers live, work, and move, and AGL will collaborate with bp pulse to create more enticing solutions for customers.

The deal is consistent with AGL’s commitment to assisting Australia’s transportation electrification by making the transition to an electric car as simple as possible for our customers.” “We want to create a seamless charging experience for electric vehicle drivers so that charging is simple, accessible, and affordable – whether at home or on the go,” added Ms Egan.

The pact acknowledges our critical role in defining Australia’s future. This collaboration will provide our consumers with creative, sustainable, and cost-effective EV charging alternatives as we move to a low-carbon future.

Sujay Sharma, Vice President of bp pulse Asia-Pacific, stated that bp and AGL intend to continue creating on-the-go charging, energy, and mobility options for clients.

We’re putting the customer first by installing a fast and convenient EV charging network in key metropolitan and regional locations across Australia, and now, thanks to this agreement, eligible AGL customers in New South Wales can take advantage of special rates to charge with bp pulse.
