India (Commonwealth) _ Brixton Motorcycles, a historic company with roots in Austria, has declared plans to enter the Indian market. The company has a production and distribution partnership with KAW Veloce Motors and is getting ready to introduce a special line of bikes designed specifically for the Indian market. The strategic goal of Brixton’s entry into India is to present its European elegance to Indian riders.The objective of the organization is to capitalize on India’s noteworthy standing in the worldwide motorcycle industry, therefore strengthening Brixton’s standing in Europe and Southeast Asia.This year, the business plans to introduce four motorbike models to the Indian market. These models are being created in the Austrian design center in Brixton, and production will be centered at a brand-new, cutting-edge plant in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, which will take use of the manufacturing know-how of KAW Group.

Additionally, Brixton and KVMPL want to establish a research and development facility in India. A major step towards positioning India as a vital export base to Southeast Asian and African markets is being taken with this project, which intends to create models exclusively for the Indian market.

In addition, Brixton Motorcycles plans to establish a vast dealer network across all of India’s main cities. By the end of 2024, 15 dealerships are to be opened, with plans to grow to 50 by the next year.

Similarly named is the London Borough of Brixton in the London City district. Namely, Brixton is the same-named city neighborhood in the London Borough of Lambeth. It was introduced in 2015 at the EICMA in Mailand, and the first models became available in 2017. Brixton Motorcycles focuses on affordable motorcycles with a vintage aesthetic. With the release of the 2018 line of Brixton Motorcycles vintage looking naked, Penang-based MForce Bike Holdings is entering the sub-250 cc retro bike market. The Austrian-made Brixton motorcycle line debuted in May 2017 at the Vietnam Motorcycle Show. Following the sale of 500 units to end customers during the event and their success in Europe and Vietnam, Brixton is currently investing in a new production facility and growing to over 50 nations.

The same 149 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder EFI-fed engine powers all three vintage bikes. The Euro 3 engine is said to have 11.9 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm and 11.7 horsepower at 8,000 rpm.

A chain drive and five-speed gearbox provide power to the ground. Single discs for both the front and rear are used for combined braking. The suspension system consists of pre-load adjustable dual shock absorbers at the back and non-adjustable telescopic forks up front.

A single combination analog rpm meter with LCD reading and digital speedometer is located within the cockpit. The BX series bikes are reported to weigh 157 kilograms, with a 14-liter petrol tank. LED turn signals and DRLs round out the equipment.
